Green Mountain Linen

Green Mountain Linen makes products using long-line linen as opposed to ‘cottonized linen’

Long-line linen has inherent strength because the length of the flax plant is conserved, as opposed to cottonized linen which is cut. Long-line linen can last for decades, getting softer over time without breaking down as quickly as cottonized linen.

Traditional linen is one of the most eco-friendly fabrics because it uses minimal processing but cottonizing it requires additional processing, which can involve mechanical or chemical treatments. In addition in our signature design collection we only use natural dyes for the Indigo. Its is a vegetable dye and colour set.

Linen is naturally breathable, moisture-wicking fabric that keeps wearers cool in hot weather.
